Theology Professor, Christian Author and Christian Book Publisher Sheri Adams Takes Students on Civil Rights Tour of Georgia

Asheville, North Carolina—Between May 18th and May 23rd students of Sheri Adams, a Professor of Church History at M. Christopher White School of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University, will embark on a journey through the history of the Civil Rights movement. Destinations include well-known, historic sites in Atlanta, Montgomery and Tuskegee, Georgia.  Students will even get the chance to visit Koinonia Farms near Americus, GA, Koinonia Farms is an intentional Christian community where residents share a life of prayer, work, study, service and fellowship.  Modeled after the early Christian communities described in the Bible in the Acts of the Apostles Koinonia Farms believes in living the teachings of Jesus such as love, peace and joy as an alternative to materialism, militarism and racism.  For more information about the Civil Rights trip contact Sheri Adams at (704) 473-0346
